I'm a first time Mummy living with my daughter and partner of 7 years in the sunny seaside town of Morecambe. Although I studied business many moons ago I have been a support worker for the last 10years. Since having my daughter my priorities have changed and spending time with her is all I want to do, so I had to find a way of making a living whist doing this. In April 2018 I looked to buy afternoon tea stands for my Grandmas 80th birthday party and in May 2018 I was looking to buy afternoon tea stands to use at my daughyer Christening celebrations, I was deterred by the costs both times. I looked again for my daughters 1st birthday celebrations and still couldn't find what I wanted at a price I was happy to pay which was when I asked my partner if we could make our own. We finally made the first stand in February. I wanted to use the whole tea set so came up with the idea to use the cups as the top tier, also with the view to use them for putting sweets in and they looked amazing! Due to all the amazing comments we got from family and friends I put a few up for sale on fb market place and they sold within 24 hours. From there we had a few people ask us to make them an afternoon tea stand for occasions they had coming up and this is how it all started. Things grew rapidly so we started a fb page, registered as a business and started booking stalls at craft fairs. I enjoy networking and event organising and due to studying business at college felt I was able to coordinate things to create a successful business, which is what seems to be happening. I've recently been asked to make afternoon tea stands from tea sets that people already own, inherited from family members or received as wedding gifts that are just sat in boxes not being used, so this is now also something we advertise to do. My business email address is alloccasions_vintageafternointeastands@outlook.com. I'm also contactable via fb messenger on my business page.
