How do I connect my Facebook Page and Instagram account?

What happens when I connect my Facebook Page and Instagram account?


Page admins, editors and moderators can read and respond to Instagram comments and Direct messages from their Facebook Page Inbox. Page admins, editors, moderators and advertisers can create Instagram ads from Facebook, manage comments on those ads. Anyone logged into the connected Instagram account can share Instagram posts to your Page. Page admins, editors and moderators can view and manage customers’ Instagram contact information in the contacts tab on Facebook. If you connected your Facebook Page to an Instagram business account: Page admins and editors can share Facebook Page posts to Instagram. Page admins and editors can add to your Page’s story from Instagram. Page admins can promote posts and create Instagram ads using Instagram Promote. Page admins and editors and anyone logged into the connected Instagram account can add a button to Instagram for booking appointments on Facebook. Page admins and editors can sync business contact info, such as email address, phone number and business address, between their Facebook Page and an Instagram business account. Updates made on one app (example: Facebook) will appear on the other app (example: Instagram). If the Page is enrolled with Facebook's Charitable Giving Tools, anyone with a role on the Page can let people add donation stickers to Instagram Stories.




Ways to Advertise on Instagram


You don't have to be a marketing wizard to advertise on Instagram. Start with a promoted post. It's a simple way of helping a photo or video that you've already posted on Instagram to reach more people. With Instagram's community of 1 billion people, you can reach more potential customers who care about your business through advertising. There are three ways you can promote content from your Instagram Business Account: Promote a post you've shared: If you have a picture or video on your profile that has earned attention from your followers, it would probably be successful as an ad to reach more people interested in your business. Promote a story from your profile, highlights, or stories archive: You can promote stories that are taken with the Instagram camera or that are in a vertical format. Some creative elements are not available with stories promotions, but try to capture authentic moments that speak to your business. Create a promotion from the Promotions button on your profile: When you create a promotion from your profile, Instagram will recommend which posts they think will do well as advertisements. This option is best if you're unsure which post you'd like to promote.




Set Up a Business Account on Instagram


On Instagram, you can convert your personal profile to a business account to access features that can help you grow your business. To switch your profile to a business account: Go to your profile and tap in the upper right corner. Tap Settings. Tap Account. Tap Switch to Professional Account. Tap Business. If you'd like, you can follow the steps to connect your business account to a Facebook Page associated with your business. This step is optional, and will make it easier to use all of the features available for businesses across the Facebook family of apps. At this time, only one Facebook Page can be connected to your business account. Add details, like your business category and contact information. Tap Done.




Verify Your Business on Instagram


Right now, only some public figures, celebrities and brands have verified badges. You can request a verification badge with the steps below. However, submitting a request does not guarantee that your account will be verified. Go to your profile and tap Tap Settings. Tap Account, then tap Request Verification. After you've filled out the form, tap Send we will review your request. If your account does not have a verified badge, there are other ways to show people that you're authentic. To demonstrate authenticity on your professional account, you can: Write description in your Instagram profile bio to tell potential customers more about your business. Use Stories to provide a behind the scenes look at your business. Encourage customers to tag your business so people can see posts from customers using your product or service.




Add a Facebook Page to your Instagram Business Account


You can change or add a Facebook Page to your Instagram professional account from the Instagram App. Before you begin Convert your account to an Instagram professional account. Be an admin of the Page you'd like to connect to. Add a Facebook Page to your Instagram To add or change the Facebook Page that's connected to your Instagram account: Go to your profile. Select Edit Profile. Under Public Business Information, Select Page. Choose a Page from your Pages that you'd like to connect to or select Create a New Facebook Page. Your business account is now connected to a Facebook Page. If the page you'd like to connect doesn't appear in the drop-down from your profile, it may be because you're not an admin of that Page. Check your Page's settings and make sure you have permission to add that page to your Instagram business account.
